Organ donation 'helps families to heal'
97 per cent say decision meant that loved one's death wasn't 'senseless' Published: Monday, August 11, 2008 Doctors with qualms about asking for organ donations from critically ill people should take heart from a new study, says a donor. Pia Henriksson of North Vancouver, whose son's organs saved five lives, supports a new B.C. study that shows 97 per cent of donor families are glad they gave. "Len's death wasn't senseless. That is what is so powerful. It paid a huge part in healing our grief," Henriksson said yesterday.
